We were struggling and on the verge of closing because of massive energy costs. It felt like every penny we made was going right out the door on bills. Three or four weeks ago, we were on the edge. I remember telling our predicament to the elderly ladies that we host at our Bingo night and they were so upset over the possibility of a closure, they didn’t know where else to go. I knew there wasn’t another option we had to work hard to get ourselves back up.
