Non existent customer service/support, refusing to replace faulty battery from day one,with different excuses.After hundrends of mails and WhatsApp messages still waiting.For 10 months i am trying to sort this out and everytime i speak with different person and have to explain the situation all over again, i guess they are trying to dodge the whole thing and playing with me.
Can I just say what an absolutely fantastic service I have received from start to finish by Start Solar NI. Couldn’t ask for anything more in fact it was more than I had expected. Everyone from the company that I have had contact with has been friendly, pleasant, helpful, professional and went above and beyond what they had to do.
From the initial consultation with Suzie and David to the helpful updates and answered queries from Suzie (at any time of the day) right up to and including the fitting I couldn’t fault them.
The fitting service from John and Fergal was excellent. Their work was really neatly done, both on the electrical side and the panel installation side. Both absolute professionals and very much passionate about their work. They make their job look easy but they work really hard. I was having issues getting a roofer after the storm and Fergal really helped me out by repairing broken tiles.
I am over the moon with the install and look forward to the savings for the years ahead.

Start Solar are an amazing experience from start to finish! Everything was relaxed, no hard sell, just stating facts and letting you make an unpressured decision. Installers turned up on date promised and were extremely tidy, efficient, pleasant, showed us what was happening, got us set up on the app and also on a laptop, took time and made sure we were happy. Excellent customer service and can’t sing Start Solar praises enough. A couple of weeks in and everything is going great, I’m glad we went solar, especially with Start Solar!

We got a survey done, with suggestions as to the layout of the panels and position of inverter, battery and car-charger. Everything was clear and well presented. The prices were very competitive. I went for 5kW of panels and a 5kWh battery. The installation was fast, efficient and neat. They sent a team of two men - one is a roofer who fits the panels, and the other is an electrician. I had recently had our house re-slated, so I am a bit precious about my roof, but I needn't have worried - the guys clearly know what they are doing. Minor snags were rectified quickly and the response to any emails or phone calls was quick and useful. As for the system itself, the performance appears to the spot on. I was particularly attracted to the fact that the inverter, battery and car-charger are all the same brand (Givenergy) - so they work well together and are all in the one app. There is also a very good web app. The car charger seems good too - once set up correctly, you can plug-in for excess solar power to top up your car, leave it plugged in to charge overnight on off-peak rates, or tap the key-fob to charge immediately at max power.
Overall, I am very pleased with our installation and would not hesitate to recommend Start Solar.
